Milan looking for Lloris!!

Accept it or Deny, one of the main reason for Milan's recent slump was Dida. His blunders ensured that the Rossoneri kept giving easy goals to the oppositions. All challenges that milan posed were nullified by the errors that the tall Brazilian kept committing. In the first half of the season,Milan lost from the situations they should have won.
Dida had to sit out. He was replaced by Kalac, who was no better. He didn't commit blunders, but he wasn't spectacular either. If the Diavolo have to consider any thoughts of challenging for the Scudetto they need to ensure that they have a young and spectacular goalie who can win matches on his own. French side 'Nice' has one and Milan have their eyes on him. Lloris is the name and after watching him, i think he will perfectly gel with the Rossoneri. He's tall, fast on his feet and anticipates well. With his good positioning a keeper like him will be an asset to Milan . He's young too and since we are out of UCL next season he will also get time to adjust. With Flamini signing for the Rossoneri , Lloris already has a friend in his French counterpart.
He seems to be a guy who knows where his head is and where his hands can reach so i hope he'll be DA GOALIE for the next 15 years:-).. He just has to endure the possible pressure of being a Milan player and he'll to really well. Here's a good compilation of him :

AC Milan was a big disappointment this season but that does not stop me from cheering for Italy in Euro 2008. Final matches start from 7th june with the host Switzerland playing Czech Republic. The Azzuri play their first match on 9th june against Marco Van Basten's Netherlands in the second match of the group of death.
I have to say, the inclusion of Cassano in the Azzuri squad comes as a shock to me. Roberto Donadoni has managed to surprise one but all by not selecting Pippo, who was in rocking form for Milan in the last few matches of the Serie A. Cassano, for me has an attitude problem and he needs to mend his ways to be able to start for Italy. No prizes for guessing the inclusion of Luca Toni in the squad as he will again be leading the attack after his amazing form in the Bundesliga for German giants Bayern Munich.
Apart from the retired Nesta and Totti many of the 2006 FIFA World Cup winning party remain. Defence is looking in perfect shape except for Cannavaro, who has had a poor season with Madrid and his form remains to be seen. Materazzi,Chiellini,Panucci,Grosso have all had successful campaigns. I dont need to mention Mr.Buffon. Midfeild will be creative as usual with Pirlo,Perrotta and Camoranesi and that mafia on feild Mr. Rino. With good backups in Ambrosini, whose played his best season for Milan, and the ever unpredictable De Rossi, it has been made sure that there so no lack of creative play. With great finishers like the legendary Del Piero I dont think we have any reason to be disappointed with the current World Champions. I dont have much expectations with Donadoni though and his tactics will always be questioned.
Forza Azzuri!!

Shattered & bruised Rossoneri!!

What went wrong with the European Champions this season??.. Their priorities were no different. They have always considered the UEFA champions league more important than the Scudetto. The name might suggest that its a small sheild but i'v never been an advocate of this policy. Wining in your own league should always be the priority. Recent poor performances of AC Milan in the serie A has ensured that AC Milan dont get the well deserved respect. My folks don't differ either. Milan won the Club world Championship this season and are now the most successful club in the world with 18 international titles,1 more than Argentinian giants Boca Juniors. Still people say they play defensive football and lack in attack. On the other hand, Manchester United, a club with just 5 international titles, & for that matter,10 league titles as compared to Milan's 17, are crowned with the tag of (without doubt) the most entertaining football club.
Milan won the UCL last season with most of their players in good form. This encouraged Ancelotti and Galliani not to bring in some new players and continue with the winning combination. This is where Milan made a big mistake. They should have realized that most of their champion players were aging and they won't be in prime form forever. Inefficiency of Seedorf and poor form of Pirlo was one of the main reasons for the lack of creativity in the midfeild. To add to this Kaka, the unstoppable guy, was injured in the initial stages and could not recover. Another star to miss out due to injury was Ronaldo. The poor run of Gilardino meant that Milan lacked the fire power upfront. The result was inevitable. Milan were not even close to winning the scudetto, instead they lost out on next years CL spot by finishing 5th to Voila. Pato the young Brazilian did add some fuel to the Rossoneri but it was all to much for the 18 year old to carry the burden in his first season.
Eyebrows have been raised on the heroes of last year's win but its true that theres NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN. We have to rebuild the side and come down all guns blazing in the next season. We have to accept the results this season, with heads held high and come back with a bang.
FORZA ROSSONERI!!
