Just a week after we had to deal with the emotional retirement of Il Capitano the management dropped another ferocious bomb on the hearts of all Milan fans.. Kaka , the 'Soul of Milan' was sold to Real Madrid. Florentino Perez, the newly re-elected president promised for a Galacticos part II and this was the first major signing towards his ambitions. He broke his own record of signing fees which he set up when he bought Zidane from Juve for 46m Euros. Milan gleefully accepted his offer of 58m euros for Kaka.
Most of us already knew that Kaka would leave after what happened in the previous window. Manchester Shitty bid a whooping 100m Euros and management, who always used to say that Kaka was not for sale, was forced to think about the prospect of selling Kaka. Their tongues wagged out seeing the amount of money that the Arabs were offering and they allowed the transfer and leaving the final decision to Kaka. Milan fans urged him not to go. They protested against this transfer by holding up banners inside the San Siro. The Tifosi gathered outside Kaka's house in large no's on the day he was to take the final decision. He acknowledged their love and support and decided against making the move. In the end Silvio again tried to play a hero by saying that he had faith in Kaka but this time everyone could see him making a fool of himself.
Kaka was never going to leave for a club like shitty. He always used to say that his heart belongs to Milan and he made no secret of his ambitions to captain the Rossoneri in the future but even he must have been shattered after seeing the club management put him on the market. To top it up we did not win a trophy this season. He never really contributed much to Milan this season as he was plagued by injuries and most of the goals he scored were either penalties or tap-ins. Regarding his speed and attacking play, all of us would agree that he was not the same Kaka this season. It was clear that his game was not in sync with R80. Their was no chemistry between them and he never made it a secret. If we weigh up these factors along with the decreasing popularity of Serie A as compared to other leagues we can perhaps figure out why he moved. If there ever was a club that he could move to, it was Real and he made the right choice. I wish him all the best for his future at Madrid and I feel sorry for the crappy defenders of the La Liga because Kaka's gonna run through them any given day. I hope to meet Real in the Champions League and I can see us knocking them out.
To all Milan fans.. The world certainly doesn't end here because a club is always greater than an individual. We should not forget that Milan made Kaka and its not the other way around. I still have faith in the management that they will put the money from Kaka's transfer to good use and a build a squad that will lead us to glory. Keep checking out the Transfer Tracker Widget as it will be regularly updated. Cheers
Forza Milan!!
